It appears nothing can stop Gravity at the box office, not even a blood-doused Chloë Grace Moretz in the horror re-make Carrie.

George Clooney and Sandra Bullock's sci-fi flick continued to soar, taking the top spot for the third straight weekend and raking in $31 million. Gravity has grossed $170.6 million domestically since its release.

Tom Hanks' high-seas drama, Captain Phillips, continued to fare well with moveigoers and came in at No. 2, earning $17.3 million.

Carrie, in its opening weekend, nabbed the No. 3 spot, making $17 million.
