No new couple alert here, friends.
An In Touch story published today claimed that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx took their friendship to the next level, reporting that the pals "have been dating for a while," but the actor quickly set the record straight, telling Entertainment Tonight that there's nothing going on with him and Suri Cruise's mama.
"[The rumors] are one hundred percent not true," Foxx told Nancy O'Dell. "In fact, it's quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people."
The Annie star is referring to a Saturday night in late August, when he and Holmes both attended the 4th annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit in East Hampton, New York.
According to reports, Holmes pulled Foxx and Ellen DeGeneres in to join her in bustin' a move to hits like Lenny Kravitz's "American Woman," and also grooved to the sound of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams' "Get Lucky."
This isn't the first false dating report for Holmes, who has seemingly remained single since her split from ex-hubby Tom Cruise.
In January, rumors began swirling that Katie was cozying up to Jake Gyllenhaal. A few months later, Grazia, an Italian tabloid, claimed she was in the early stages of a relationship with jazz musician Peter Cincotti.
