It goes without saying, Kate Hudson has it all: a robust acting career, two adorable kids, stunning good looks—and oh yes, abs of steel.

The gorgeous actress and current face of Ann Taylor, posed for Shape magazine wearing a variety of sleek outfits that showed off her incredibly toned figure, leaving us speechless and well, beyond impressed.

Kate is the very definition of a hot mama!

Best of all, the California girl is down to earth, light-hearted and chock full of wisdom when it comes fitness, fashion, beauty, food and everything else!

The actress, who is currently promoting her new Fabletics fitness fashion line, opened up on the challenges of being a working mother and shared some savvy tips for getting back into shape while balancing a demanding schedule.

"If anyone thinks the baby weight is going to fall off without doing anything—they are fooling themselves!" she laughed, reminiscing about her post-pregnancy weight loss with baby Bing, where she started the workout process slowly and was conscious not to push herself too hard in the beginning.

"I like to be athletic and strong, but if I push myself too much mentally, I get a lack of enthusiasm for working out. I think it's more of a mental thing than a physical thing after you have a baby. Start slow and do something every day," she advises new moms.

And of course, the blond beauty has a few fitness tricks up her sleeve when the going gets tough.

"My new thing is that I always carry a jump rope with me. Then, whenever I have a break during the day, I'll just jump. I'll do 150, take a short break, and then do another 150. I can either sit around looking at my phone, or I can jump!" she tells the magazine.

Good thinking!
