She really is the girl next door.

Shortly after Lauren Conrad announced her engagement to William Tell on Sunday, Oct. 13, the fashion designer and reality star made her first public appearance as a betrothed woman. No, the former Hills star didn't showed off the solitaire stunner on a red carpet. Instead, she flashed the round cut diamond while stocking up on food and beer at Pavilions supermarket in West Hollywood.

Dressed casually in a gray cardigan and denim shorts, Conrad, 27, was joined by her future hubby, 33.

The Laguna Beach vet had previously shared a picture of her new jewelry via her official blog. Zaven Ghanimian, marking director of Simon G. Jewelry, told E! News on Monday, Oct. 14, that the ring is "a four-prong, 2-carat round cut diamond with a thick band." Ghanimian also estimated that Tell could have spent as much as $40,000 for the bling.

Though Conrad has likely already begun planning her dream wedding, she still found the time to thank her fans for their support. "Thank you guys for all the sweet messages! It means so much to me," she tweeted. "Feel like the luckiest girl in the world!"
