The Jonas Brothers might just need a family sit-down to work past that "deep rift" that caused them to cancel their tour.

It seems like that was the plan, but unfortunately that didn't play out. On Monday, Oct. 14, a source told E! News that Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas "were going to meet up in New York over the weekend, but Joe decided to stay in Los Angeles."

Joe, 24, has been spotted in L.A. with his uncle, Josh Miller, as well as Demi Lovato's recovery manager Mike Bayer. It's unclear whether Joe has hired Mike as his sober companion, or if the two are just pals.

The initial plan fell through, yes, but Nick made the most of his time on the East Coast. A source tells E! News the 22-year-old singer went to visit girlfriend Olivia Culpo in Rhode Island. On Saturday, Oct. 12, the couple went apple picking in Connecticut (Olivia Instagrammed a picture of herself and her sisters there), and Nick reportedly returned to his NYC apartment the next day.

According to one fan account, Nick looked the "saddest" she's ever seen him once he was back in the city. So just what happened?! Well, the fight that led to the siblings canceling their tour happened Sunday, Oct. 6. The very next night, Monday, Oct. 7, is when "it was settled" that Nick, Joe and Kevin were calling things off, "but it was still 50/50."

That uncertainty explains why the Jonas Brothers' bandmates were in Philadelphia on Wednesday, Oct. 9, when the tour cancellation announcement was made. They had been preparing for what was supposed to be the Jonas Brothers' kickoff show Friday, Oct. 11, in the City of Brotherly Love.

And even though there's still "broad disagreement within the group about what direction to take the music," a source told E! News Nick, Joe and Kevin are "brothers, and that will never change."

    Family first!
