For X-Files fans, a trilogy is out there—all they need is a green light.
Appearing Saturday at a Paley Center for Media event in New York City to mark the sci-fi horror drama's 20th anniversary, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson told attendees they hope to reprise their roles as Mulder and Scully in a third X-Files movie.
"All the principals are on board," Duchovny said, as quoted by the Los Angeles Times. "Gillian and I want to do it, so it's really up to 20th Century Fox at this point."
X-Files mastermind Chris Carter is also down for a third go-round, according to the 53-year-old actor, despite past legal issues with the studio which delayed 2008's sequel, The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
