It's not always easy for the non-French to look glam in Paris, but Jay Z and Beyoncé more than pulled it off!
On Sunday, Oct. 13, the power couple had a romantic dinner date at La Petite Maison de Nicole, an upscale French restaurant. Jay and Bey even coordinated their outfits for the occasion—both working a tasteful combination of denim and black (but not blue jeans, obviously).
Just one day before Hov and his wife's chic date night, the rapper—along with Chris Martin and Timbaland—rode the tube (aka public transportation!) to his sold-out Magna Carter Holy Grail Tour show at London's O2 Arena.
This wasn't even the first time Mr. Carter's said "no thanks" to a chauffeur. Back in October 2012, he took the subway to his performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. And, adorably, he even made a friend on the ride!
New York resident Ellen Grossman, 67, didn't recognize the hip-hop royal sitting beside her, but she did notice people were taking his picture. She asked Jay, 43, if he was famous, but classy gent he is, he played down his superstar status. "I make music," he answered humbly, telling her he was on his way to his show. Ms. Grossman, who later realized she'd heard of Jay and was indeed a fan, told him she was proud of him.
Safe to say we're all pretty proud of the whole Carter fam.
