Reports surfaced earlier today that the 20-year-old "Wrecking Ball" singer had given away her ex-fiancé's clothing to West Hollywood charity store Out of the Closet, which helps fight HIV and AIDS with its proceeds. According to the reports Cyrus sent an assistant to donate several pieces of clothing that the Aussie actor left behind at her place.
Allegedly among the items donated were two cashmere sweaters, one from Barneys and another from Ted Baker, Nike workout gear, a James Perse sweatshirt, black Hugo Boss dress pants and even underwear.
However, Out of the Closet tells E! News the donation reports are "totally untrue," saying they haven't received any pieces like those at all. A store associate added that in the last couple of weeks the location has mostly received women's clothing and not men's.
Cyrus opened up about their split to Ellen DeGeneres this week, saying, "I think people spend more time actually thinking about it than I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That's kind of where I am right now. I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn't really been focused on that."
