Can anyone manage to focus on something other than American Hustle's amazing '70s wardrobe and hairdos?

The latest trailer for the soon-to-be released David O. Russell drama has surfaced on the Internet, and along with being able to appreciate Bradley Cooper's tight curls and Christian Bale's attempt at a decent comb-over, viewers were met with some more dialogue from the film—along with a little Hustling 101.

According to the clip, people usually hustle for one of three reasons: respect, love, or truth.

American Hustle's second trailer shows the challenges faced by a con artist Irving Rosenfeld (Bale) and his partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams)—who tells the audience that it's Irving's confidence, not his hair or belly, that she finds desirable—as they team up with FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Cooper) to expose other key players in New Jersey.

Along with the drama and action, the new clip gives a little cameo by Louis C.K., some more of Jeremy Renner and a funny mother-and-son moment with Jennifer Lawrence who tells her little boy that his father is a "son of a bitch."

(P.S. Can we have more J.Law in the next trailer, please? Thanks.)

The film is inspired by the real-life events surrounding the FBI sting operation known as Abscam. As Russell told Good Morning America in July, "[Moviegoers] can expect a wild world of amazing characters. People with their passions and their hearts that was inspired by this wild event that happened back then."

American Hustle hits theaters Christmas Day.
