Watch: Julianne Moore Is a Fan of "Hunger Games"

To say Julianne Moore is looking forward to being part of the Hunger Games film franchise is definitely an understatement.

"I'm a huge fan of the books and the movie, so I'm very excited to be involved," the 52-year-old star enthusiastically told E! News at the Carrie premiere in Hollywood on Monday.

What's more, the Oscar nominee noted that her two children, 15-year-old Caleb and 11-year-old Liv, are also pretty "psyched" that their mom will be starring as President Alma Coin in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2.

When asked who her daughter likes better, Liam Hemsworth or Josh Hutcherson (in other words, Team Gale or Team Peeta), Moore replied, "I don't know...I'll have to ask her, yeah."

It was announced last month that Moore would be joining the Mockingjay cast.

In addition to Hemsworth and Hutcherson, the actress will also star alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Ashlee Simpson's boyfriend Evan Ross.

The second installment in the series, Catching Fire, opens wide Nov. 22.

Meanwhile, Mockingjay Part 1 is slated to be released Nov. 21, 2014, with the trilogy coming to an end on Nov. 20, 2015, when Part 2 caps off the action.
