If anyone thinks Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter are on the rocks, the director and his muse would very much beg to differ.

The longtime couple were photographed in London on Monday, Oct. 7, making their first public appearance since allegations surfaced that Burton may have been unfaithful. Last week, the New York Post published a grainy picture purportedly showing the filmmaker kissing a mystery blonde.

In response to the cheating claims, Bonham Carter's rep told E! News that any suggestion Burton had strayed was "absolutely nonsense" and that they were out with a large group of family and friends.

Whatever the case, by the look of pics published in the U.K.'s Daily Mail, the rumors don't appear to have put a dent in their 12-year romance, as the duo held hands and were all smiles when they appeared on stage at Royal Albert Hall.

The 55-year-old director and the 47-year-old actress were there as special guests for Burton's old pal and musical collaborator, Danny Elfman, and took part in a performance of his music from The Nightmare Before Christmas, which Burton wrote and produced.

For her part, Bonham Carter slipped her busty frame into a black corsette and black skirt and donned dark makeup to accentuate her pale skin. The Burtonesque look was intentional as it was inspired by the female character of Sally in his 1993 stop-motion classic, which was fitting since she performed Sally's song during the concert, much to the delight of her partner.

Burton and Bonham Carter first met while filming 2001's Planet of the Apes and have two children together, 10-year-old Billy and 5-year-old Nell. While they've yet to marry, the pair is known for their unconvential ways as both live in adjoining residences in Belsize Park, London.

Their last public outing was in March of this year at a charity fundraiser.
