Not so says a source close to the "Wrecking Ball" singer.
Despite reports that the former Disney darling is getting cozy with Rolling Stone photographer Theo Wenner, the two are just "new friends."
"Theo and Miley have stayed in constant contact with each other" since their famous photo shoot—which included several topless shots of the 20-year-old pop star.
And it appears that the duo have really hit it off. So much so that Miley invited Theo to watch her perform and host Saturday Night Live this past weekend.
According to a second insider, Theo was seated in the VIP section of the studio with Tish and Brandi Cyrus and Mike WiLL Made It.
Only time will tell if things turn romantic between the pop star and the photographer.
Miley announced on Sept. 16 that she and her ex fiancé Liam Hemsworth were splitting up after almost four years together.
Sources said at the time that the breakup was "Miley's decision, after coming to grips with Liam being what she believed was less than faithful to her."
But in an interview with Fashion magazine, she revealed that she considered ending things with the Hunger Games actor months prior.
In fact, the single singer said that one of her new songs, "Drive," is specifically about the hardships they faced earlier this year.
"I wrote it while I was working on Valentine's Day—emotionally it was such a hard time," she recalls. "It is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship. It's a time when you want to leave but you can't. It's also about moving on."
Maybe Miley is gearing up to do just that. But first, she's getting ready for the launch of her album Bangerz which is set to be released Tuesday!
