Russell Brand's relationship with Jemima Khan ended as quickly as it began. Just 15 days after the British comic boasted that he was "eschewing all others" to be with the New Statesman editor, Brand announced they're no longer seeing each other during his stand-up show in Atlanta on Saturday, Sept. 28.
"I'm currently single," said Brand, who capped off the U.S. leg of his Messiah Complex world tour. The 38-year-old then locked lips with several fans who were seated in the front row.
Prior to dating Khan, Katy Perry's ex-husband was rumored to be seeing Nicola Schuller. He'd previously been linked to Alessandra Balazs and Isabella Brewster.
Asked if he would ever tie the knot again during a June 10 appearance on Today, the Paradise star replied, "Yes, I would, as a matter of fact. I really liked being married."
Let's hope his next union works out better than his last! After all, Perry is still recovering from the demise of their 14-month marriage. In a recent interview with Billboard, the singer said she wrote the track"By the Grace of God" in the wake of their divorce.
"That song is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point. I asked myself, 'Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?'" she told the magazine. "All the songs are real-life moments. I can only write autobiographically. I put all the evidence in the music. I tell my fans if they want to know the real truth about stuff, just listen to the songs."
