Well, that explains the episode's title!

Beauty and the Beast returns for its highly-anticipated second season on Monday, Oct. 7 with "Who Am I?," and we know who will be asking that very question in the premiere: Our main beast Vincent (Jay Ryan)! After being captured by Muirfied in the season one finale, it seems Vincent will be a changed man when we next see him...and by changed we mean he won't even know who he is!

In an exclusive sneak peek at the season two premiere, it's revealed that Vincent has has his memory wiped, which JT (Austin Basis) attempts to remedy by showing him around their place, leading to a hilariously awkward exchange...

While JT is showing Vincent around, our beast (who is definitely a lot colder, no?) asks some questions, including if it's just the two of them living there. "You and me," JT says, before receiving a weird look from Vincent. He then sputters out, "But just as friends. Good friends. Best friends. But friends only...just." Oh JT, you always have such a way with words!

But Beasties may want to prepare for some heartache to go along with the laughs as it seems season two will be a tough ride for fan favorite couple Vincent and Catherine (Kristin Kreuk). "It's a really intense episode. The show's pace is going up this season, so a lot is happening," Kreuk teased. "We're three months ahead; three months has passed since the finale, so they're getting filled in on a lot of what happened during that time. It's going to be kind of achingly romantic."

Beauty and the Beast returns Monday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. on the CW.
