Glee Season 5 Premiere: Did Kurt Say Yes to Blaine's Beatles Proposal?!

Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Glee Adam Rose/FOX

All you need is love, and Glee of course!

After enduring the seemingly endless McKinley-free months of summer, Glee finally returned Thursday night with the first of an epic two-part season five premiere. It's finally time for two of the most powerful musical fandoms to collide as Glee does their best to honor the iconic hits of The Beatles.

From a steamy secret romance, to a Funny Girl fiasco, and a bitter girl intervention, this first episode was filled to the brim with musically-inclined goodness. Plus, everyone knows that Glee gives their fans the best, most-heartwarming proposals, (and let's face it, there have been a lot!) but did this one take the cake? Read on for all the Beatlemania mayhem…

Secret Sweethearts: *Beep! Beep!* New couple alert! Kitty (Becca Tobin) and Artie (Kevin McHale) have the hots for one another, but the social hierarchy at McKinley High makes Kitty nervous about proclaiming her love in public. However, Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), hell-bent on getting into everyone's business, spills their secret romance to the rest of the glee club. This then prompts Kitty to embrace her inner Kartie and the couple becomes officially Facebook official, so you know it's serious. (Side-Note: We were apprehensive at first, but now we think this duo is all kinds of adorable!)

Working Girl:  After a disappointing chemistry read call-back, Rachel (Lea Michele) strolls through the streets of NYC (looking incredible in a fuchsia coat bee tee dubs!), sings an emotionally heart-breaking rendition of "Yesterday." That's right, ladies and gentleman, our Ms. Berry can still make us feel all the feelings with just her voice. Rachel starts working at Santana's (Naya Rivera) restaurant where all the waitresses are aspiring actresses who can throw together perfectly choreographed performance on the fly. With the help of her co-workers and Santana's sultry voice, Rachel sings "A Hard Day's Night," to further impress her casting director when he stops in for lunch. Work it guuurl!

McKinley Madness: Becky confessed to being the one who brought the gun to school so Sue (Jane Lynch) was welcomed back to McKinley with open arms. She then planted array of incriminating evidence in Figgins' office to steal his job and take her seat in the throne in the principal's office. Will and Coach Roz will be allowed to keep their jobs as long as they both win at nationals. Sheesh! No pressure! Meanwhile Tina is embracing her inner bitchy and the guys of glee have had enough! They decide to serenade the sassiness out of her and ask her to choose a date for prom, (she picks Sam!) in the hopes that she will finally lose her tude.

A Glee-Worthy Proposal: Right away we see that Kurt (Chris Colfer) has agreed to give Blaine (Darren Criss) another chance at being his boyfriend and the two seal it with a kiss—and an over-the-top marching band performance, of course! But that's not enough for Blaine! The bowtie enthusiast announces that he wants to officially propose to Kurt and he enlists the help of Vocal Adrenaline, Haverbrook School of the Deaf and the Dalton Academy Warblers. With Burt's (Mike O'Malley) blessing, and Rachel, Santana, and Mercedes (Amber Riley) all in attendance, Blaine to proposes to Kurt in the spot where they first met. And guess what… Kurt says yes! (Side-Note: Sure they may be a little young, but as we said earlier tonight: Statistics be damned!)

Line of the Night: "Our hands were meant to hold each other, fearlessly and forever."—Blaine to Kurt.
