The CW's Reign is one of our five favorite new series debuting this fall TV season, bringing viewers into a world of political danger, backstabbing, dark forces and sexual intrigue as we follow a teenage Mary, Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane), on her tumultuous rise to power. It's Game of Thrones-meets-Gossip Girl and we're obsessed.
And because we want you to be as obsessed with the new period drama as we are, we've got an exclusive new promo to share with you, that's seriously sexy and teases the mind games and danger lurking at the French Court you'll be privy to in Reign. But be warned: "Innocence will end!"

The new one-minute clip gives viewers a glimpse at the complicated relationship and arranged marriage between Mary and Prince Francis (Toby Regbo), who seems to already have eyes for someone else. Making matters of the heart even more intriguing for Mary? Francis' half-brother Bash (Torrance Coombs), the King's son with his mistress. (Sorry Jon Snow, you've got some serious competition for the title of TV's Hottest Bastard come this fall!)
Aside from teen drama and juicy love triangles, Reign is also dabbling with dark magic. Not only does the Queen's trusted advisor Nostradamus prophesize that marrying Mary will cost Francis his life, but the dark woods surrounding the castle seem to contain a mysterious being who doesn't mind a human sacrifice or two.
Reign premieres Thursday, Oct. 17 at 9 p.m. on the CW.
