Watch out, Miley Cyrus! Elton John has his eyes on your ex-fiancé, Liam Hemsworth!

While visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 66-year-old music legend sounded off (yet again) on the "Wrecking Ball" singer's controversial VMA performance and even admitted he has a crush on her hunky Aussie actor ex.

"I've been in the business a long time, let me tell you what worked at the VMAs," John told Ellen Degeneres when asked about Cyrus. "Miley Cyrus went on a performed like she did. And the whole purpose of VMAs when you got all these big artists competing against each other for attention is to flatten the opposition. She flattened the opposition."

"Nobody talked about anybody else except Miley," he continued. "She has two records in the top 10, the No. 1 single. Even though I think it was a weird performance."

John then mocked Cyrus' VMA tongue-wagging by sticking out his tongue and saying, "That was just the thing I just could not...it wasn't the dancing or anything or touching Robin Thicke's whatsit."

After adding that "she's a terrific girl," John quipped of Cyrus' former fiancé Hemsworth, "I'll take her old boyfriend though."

"As the French say, 'A bit on the side,'" he said much to the crowd's amusement. "He's gorgeous...those Australians."

Just last week, John said of Cyrus' wild antics, "I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen. And she's so young! But she's got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?"
