The 20-year-old pop star reveals in the latest issue of Rolling Stone that, after watching her rehearse, Kanye approached her before her insta-classic performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month and ended up giving her a little pep talk in her dressing room.
"He came in and goes, 'There are not a lot of artists I believe in more than you right now,'" Miley told the mag (which also features her naked on the cover). "The whole room went quiet. I was like, 'Yo—can you say that again?!' I just kept repeating that over and over in my mind, and it made me not nervous."

And just like most everybody who watched, Kanye apparently couldn't get Miley's not-at-all-nervous-looking performance out of his head, either.
Pretty much right after the VMAs, Miley joined him in the studio to cut the remix of the rapper's "Black Skinhead," off of his latest album, Yeezus. And then, she said, he texted her the next day, "'I still can't stop thinking about your performance.'"
She also said that Kanye bought her five pairs of fur Céline slippers after she mentioned that her old pair was falling apart, so...sounds like Miley's got herself a friend!
"I kind of have a good relationship with him now," she continued. "It's good to have someone you can call and be like, 'Yo, do you think I should wear this?' 'Do you think I should go in the studio with this guy?' 'Do you think this is cool?' That's what homies are supposed to do."
And Kanye isn't the only veteran star who has stood in Miley's corner when she needed support.
"That was dope, because I think we needed each other at that point," Miley said. "We both needed to get out of L.A."
