Oh, stop being so modest!

The Modern Family cast stopped by the E! News afterparty last night once the Emmy Awards had wrapped up, and spoke to Terrence Jenkins about their big win (which is now the series' fourth straight Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series), and although viewers expected it, the actors still thought the honor was a "surprise."

"There were so many surprises tonight that did not include us," Julie Bowen told us. "I think this surprise was particularly delightful."

So who gets to keep the award?! According to the cast, who all shook their heads and shouted at the same time in response to the question, none of them.

The producers will become owners of the golden statue, but for the time being, 15-year-old Rico Rodriguez was the one guarding it. "It's really great to hold one, it's amazing," he told E! News.

In addition to receiving yet another accolade, Modern Family begins its syndication run on USA this week, a change the cast is looking forward to (as long as fans don't get sick of them).

"It's gonna be crazy but I think Big Bang Theory proved that syndication really ups the ratings and we just want as many people as we can to see our show. We're so proud of it," Eric Stonestreet said.

(E! and USA are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
