Did you love watching James Spader be bad?

NBC's new drama series (and one of our top five new fall shows) The Blacklist premiered tonight, and it set up what will hopefully be one of the most promising freshman seasons of the year.

Spader stars as Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives who suddenly and unexpectedly turns himself in. Red is on a quest to knock out certain criminals and terrorists that are on his "Blacklist," and he's come to the FBI not because he needs their help, but so he can help them catch the bad guys.

Spader is perfect in this role of the intimidating, smart and oddly charismatic Red. Megan Boone plays the just-out-of-training agent who is also the only person Red will talk to. It's got a Silence of the Lambs-vibe, but in a good way.

Did you love the premiere as much as we did? What did you think of the twist ending? Vote below and then weigh in down below in the comments!
