The ring is (still) on!
Michael Douglas was spotted sans Catherine Zeta-Jones at the 2013 Emmy Awards, but he was wearing his wedding band for the special occasion despite announcing that he and his wife of 13 years were separating.
The actor, who is nominated for his rousing portrayal of Liberace in Behind the Candelabra, chatted with Ryan Seacrest about prepping for the role.
"He was so joyful, he loved life, he loved beautiful things, he was so generous, he was a wonderful host," the Hollywood veteran said of taking on the famous entertainer's persona.
"It freed me up," Douglas explained. "I had a whole cancer bout and I did this afterwards and I just inherited that general feeling of free at last."
And it seems that this year's Emmy nomination—which marks his fifth— is very similar to the time when he picked up a nom for playing an undercover gay cop on Will & Grace.
Except, one thing is different this round.
"No sequins," Douglas joked with the American Idol host.
