Can any fan truly prepare for the end of Breaking Bad? The answer is a resounding: "Hell, no!"
But prepare we are attempting, though based on what stars Anna Gunn and Betsy Brandt told Giuliana Rancic on the Emmys red carpet, no amount of girding loins or bearing down will do you any good.
At first, Gunn, looking gorgeous in a Romona Keveza gown, kept tight-lipped about the final two episodes, claiming that the Breaking Bad cast has been "trained like the CIA" to not reveal anything, but she finally did offer up this tantalizing tease.
"We've been trained within an inch of our lives to not to reveal anything. And the audience will appreciate it because the last two episodes are so mind-blowing," Emmy-nominee Gunn said. "I think people will be frozen in their chairs staring at the TV after. It's apocalyptical."
Brandt seemed to be too nervous about Breaking Bad taking home its first ever Best Drama Series trophy to drop spoilers.
"It's been such an amazing ride. I love that family so much," she gushed. "[Creator] Vince Gilligan is just one of the best human beings I've ever met, so I'm hoping we win. I'm nervous."
Well, whether Breaking Bad wins tonight or not, it will still go down as one of the best TV series ever when all is said and done.
Breaking Bad's series finale airs next Sunday on AMC.
