FameFlynetUK/FAMEFLYNET Miley Cyrus appeared on Alan Carr: Chatty Man earlier this month and revealed a little insight into her recent trip to Amsterdam.
The "We Can't Stop" singer was on a promotional tour in Europe for her hit single when she decided to take an unexpected detour.
"There was business and please," Miley explained to the host. "But [the Amsterdam trip] was more pleasure. It wasn't on the map. I had never been there before, so obviously I needed to go."
When Alan asked about her reported seven-hour-long stay at one of the city's most famous café's, the former Disney darling cryptically explained that she was there "drinking coffee."
Miley then asked, "Did I look different going in than I did going out?"
After laughing she added, "Didn't you know that coffee [in Amsterdam] makes your eyes like this and gives you mad cotton mouth?"
But the host really wanted to get to the bottom of how she spent her hours at the café. After probing the singer even further she confessed the reason behind her lengthy stay. (As if she needed to spell it out!)
"It definitely wasn't the wi-fi," she said.
Alan quickly asked if "it was good?"
"Duh. It's Amsterdam. It's kind of like being in California but across the world. I saw more things than I had seen probably in my lifetime," she explained.
"We got there late, probably at like 3 in the morning, and I saw some red lights and purple lights and thought, 'Oh what's that? That looks pretty,' and then just started walking towards the lights…and there you go!"
At the end of the interview, Alan did bring up the elephant in the room: her MTV VMA performance.
Miley defended her live rendition of her hit single and her duet with Robin Thicke, saying, "You know you're going to get a crazy reaction no matter what I do. So I might as well keep people talking about it."
But it looks like the one person she didn't want to talking about it with was her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
"I avoided the conversation a little bit with my dad," she said with a smile.
