Bruce Jenner is one tough guy—you have to be when you're with that many Kardashian and Jenner ladies all the time!

But on Tuesday, Sept. 17, the famous father caused some concern when he stepped out in Calabasas, Calif., with a heavily bandaged nose. E! News has learned that Bruce, 63, had surgery the week before to remove skin cancer from his nose. Thankfully, though, a Jenner family source tells us exclusively that Bruce is "recovering [and] his prognosis is excellent."

Kylie and Kendall Jenner's dad has a similar procedure on his face last year. When he attended a Lakers-Mavericks game in January 2012 with a noticeable scar on his cheek, several blogs started theorizing the Keeping Up With the Kardashians patriarch had gotten some new cosmetic surgery. Sources close to the family, however, confirmed to E! News that the facial marks resulted from the removal of a cancerous lesion.

Fortunately both occurrences were caught before the cancer was able to spread. Let this be a good reminder—to all of us, not just Bruce—to slather on that sunscreen!
