TROV/AKM-GSILiam Hemsworth may have been in need of some air this week—and he got some, albeit at-30,000 feet.
E! News has learned that the newly single actor was flying to Atlanta today, barely 72 hours after it was confirmed that he and Miley Cyrus had broken up—and barely a day after sharing a steamy kiss with Eiza González, whose acquaintance he apparently just made over the weekend in Las Vegas.
But that was a goodbye (for now, at least) kiss, because they were both headed out of town for business.
Eiza has an appearance scheduled in Mexico tomorrow and Hemsworth is likely attending to Hunger Games business.
We're told that cameras will be rolling on Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2 in an abandoned mill once used by Springs Industries in Spalding County, which is part of the greater Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
The studio, which has been systematically making casting announcements for the final two films in the four-movie franchise, revealed today that Patina Miller would be coming aboard as Commander Paylor.
Meanwhile, Liam's trip down South meant that he would not be by brother Chris Hemsworth's side at the New York premiere of Rush, in New York City. Both Liam and other-brother Luke, also an adorable actor, showed up to support Chris at the Ron Howard-directed racing drama's premiere in Toronto.
Since the premiere of the espionage thriller Paranoia, which was Liam's last public appearance with his then-fiancée, Liam's drama has come off-screen, in the form of rumors of the looming demise of his and Miley's relationship, followed by its actual demise.
Then he was spotted hitting it off with Eiza, first at XS in Vegas on Saturday, then again on Monday while back in L.A. and just hours removed from the breakup announcement, and again on Tuesday when he stopped by her apartment complex and was caught kissing her.
Probably around the time Liam was making his way through L.A. International Airport, Eiza was spotted taking a smoke break after having lunch with a group of friends.
Catching Fire, the eagerly awaited second installment in The Hunger Games series, doesn't hit theaters until Nov. 22—so Liam's got a while to focus on work before it's time to start sitting down with the media again.
