From teen queen to all-grown-up singer-actress...Sounds familiar, right?
But in this case at least, we're talking about Eiza Gonzélez the 23-year-old telenovela star and Mexican pop singer who's poised to make a splash in the U.S. with her first big Hollywood movie role.
And though the statuesque beauty ended up making headlines in the United States before the cameras started rolling by partying with newly single Liam Hemsworth in Las Vegas and then sharing a cozy kiss with him days later—she was already a much-photographed star at home!
Meaning, her transformation from baby-faced brunette teenager to willowy blonde with stylish ombré highlights is well-documented.
And look how much she's changed!
Eiza's breakout role came at 16 as the title character in the Hannah Montana-reminiscent telenovela Lola...Érase una vez, in which she played a 20-year-old nanny (a high-school-age star in an older role, now there's a switch!) who also sang in a rock band.
After the show's 224-episode run, she was cast in the crime show Mujeres Asesinas and released her debut album, Contracorriente, in 2010. Then it was on to more telenovelas and another album, Te Acordarás de Mí.
She moved to Los Angeles just weeks ago to pursue acting in American films and, as E! News was first to report, has landed a role in the comedy All Hail the Squash Blossom Queen, being directed by Adrian Cervantes.
