As the 65thAnnual Emmy Awards draws even closer, we're getting more and more excited about all of the star-studded glamour to come this Sunday!

And while most viewers are accustomed to seeing the red carpet arrivals and the actual awards show at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, there are plenty of intriguing attractions going on backstage as well!

This morning we took a sneak peek at the luxe Audi Green Room, designed by Joseph Altuzarra and sat down with the designer himself to learn more about the cool collaboration and inspiration behind the project.

"When we started talking with the Audi team, the focal point was luxury and efficiency. I wanted to make it feel very inviting and special for the presenters and winners of the Emmy Awards while still keeping with my brand," he explained of the stunning space, which features plush seating, a soft pastel color palette, modular furniture and fresh orchids as accents.

"Altuzarra is very much about duality of things. It's very French and sensual, yet very American on the other side. Like Audi, there's an emphasis on luxury and functionality and efficiency without sacrificing the aesthetics of the products. "

One glance at the Audi Green Room and it's quite clear that he achieved just that.

The space is certainly spectacular and stylish, a testament to Altuzarra's creative eye, as well as his multi-tasking talent given that New York Fashion Week just wrapped up a few days ago!

"Literally, I was in fittings and looking at carpet samples and vintage furniture all at once!" he laughed of the experience, which he insists was a fairly easy process, albeit the first time he's ever done something like this.

"Doing interiors felt very natural in a way, it felt like a brand expansion for us and a good introduction to this world. On all aesthetic decisions, we were aligned and both brands have a lot of commonalities. We had a good grasp of what we wanted to do," he added with an easy smile.

As for the logistics, the New York-based designer, who cites Claire Danes as his favorite celeb of the moment, explained that he relied on renderings when planning for this project, and that almost all of the furniture was locally sourced in L.A. or custom made through vintage dealers.

Highlights of the chic room include a cream-colored couch with phone chargers discreetly tucked in every crevice, a luxe gold bar cart and a grandiose mirror lined with fresh moss against the back wall.

It's certainly the most gorgeous Green Room we've ever seen!
