First Katy Perry was "Roar"-ing like a lion, and now she's comin' atcha like a "Dark Horse."

Just after midnight on Tuesday, Sept. 17, the 28-year-old pop star released Prism's second song (although it's not the second official single).

"Dark Horse," which Katy described on Twitter as "a brand NEW color from PRISM" is available on iTunes to fans who preorder the upcoming album, due to release Oct. 22. The track features Juicy J, and while it's heavier fare than "Roar," it's similarly catchy.

Juicy J spoke to  MTV News about working with Katy, saying, "She's really a genius, she was by the mixing board and telling the guy what to take in and take out. She's really hands on with her music, she knows music."

In one verse of the song, Katy sings seductively, "Mark my words/ This love will make you levitate/ "Like a bird/ Like a bird without a cage/ But down to earth/ If you choose to walk away, don't walk away."

Katy's lyrics, which she cowrote with pal Sarah Hudson, also make mentions of magic, perfect storms and Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love.

John Mayer, you've been warned!
