We want to preface this article by insisting that we love the CW's Arrow for a lot of reasons: the writing, the action, the acting, etc. But sometimes you just gotta sit back and appreciate the more shallow attributes of the series.
For example, we have the exclusive first look at one of Arrow's season-two posters, featuring Colton Haynes as Roy Harper. The tagline is "Coming Back Strong", and we don't doubt it one bit. Apparently Haynes prepared to come back strong with pushups and sit-ups.
Missing Stephen Amell, Manu Bennett and David Ramsey? Don't worry, their shirtless photos have also been released and are sprinkled all over the Internet. Go find them! It's like a hot guy treasure hunt. Just what your Monday needs, eh?
Arrow recently announced a big addition to the cast in the form of Glee's Grant Gustin, who has been tapped to play Flash/Dr. Barry Allen. Flash will appear in the eighth episode, which will serve as a backdoor pilot for a potential spinoff series that the CW hopes to launch.
At the Summer TCA Press Tour, CW boss Mark Pedowitz talked about Barry's introduction on Arrow. "There's a big DC universe where super-powered characters do intersect and don't intersect," he said. "But remember, it's an origin story so he may not come in with superpowers."
Arrow returns on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
