The 32-year-old wide receiver, who plays for the Denver Broncos, was asked in an interview with NFL Total Access if it was true he impersonated the pop star at a pep rally.
"Gosh, I'd love to say 'false' there, but it's true, I did," Welker admitted with a smile. "I would say false, but they have me on video. But I've already bought them off, so you won't be seeing that any time soon."
Not so fast Wes. Thanks to news9.com, there is proof.
In the hysterical video, the Oklahoma native dances around in a blond wig, bra and hula skirt and lip-syncs to "(You Drive Me) Crazy."
That's the way to show school spirit.
According to the local station, the video was recorded in 1999 during his senior year at Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City.
