Suri Cruise has a fresh canvas to write more random phrases on.

The 7-year-old, who is nursing a broken arm, sported a new bright pink cast while out with mother Katie Holmes today in New York City.

Suri appeared to be in pretty good spirits despite the injury, which she reportedly suffered in a cartwheel-gone-wrong last month while visiting family with her mom in Toledo, Ohio. Holmes' rep never officially confirmed the cause of the break but told E! News two weeks ago that the child was doing fine.

Meanwhile, the cheery new arm candy is a switch from last week's plain white cast, which included the scribble "no butt smacking" among the various doodles.

Holmes, who showed her Holmes & Yang spring/summer 2014 collection yesterday at a Chelsea gallery for New York Fashion Week, was spotted heading to a TriBeCa nail salon with her daughter over the weekend.

Of showing at Fashion Week for the first time, the actress told E! News, "It's really exciting. It's a wonderful thing to work and I'm very inspired by my partner, [stylist] Jeanne Yang. She's a wonderful designer and we had a great presentation. It was actually very relaxed and we really enjoyed ourselves."
