"Tonight's the night."
Well, two Sundays from now is actually the night that Dexter bids farewell after eight seasons of bloody goodness, but we digress! Yes, Dexter's series finale is just around the corner, and to celebrate 96 episodes of serial killer Dexter's (Michael C. Hall) TV reign, Showtime has released this super-cool tease for the final two episodes that looks back on all the madness the series has gifted us with.
"It's going to happen again and again," Dexter says in a voice-over as we relive some of his most infamous kills. "It has to happen." Gulp!
Featured in the juicy clip are some of the series' best villains, including the Trinity Killer (John Lithgow), Dex's half-brother Brian Moser (Christian Camargo) and Miguel (Jimmy Smits). Plus, some of Dexter's ladies are highlighted, including dearly departed wife Rita (Julie Benz) and current love interest Hannah (Yvonne Strahovski). Could those two crazy (murderous) kids actually have a happy ending?!
Showtime teases of the final two episodes: "As the pressure begins to mount on Dexter Morgan to escape Miami with Hannah and Harrison, as well as avenge Vogel's death, will he choose his new found humanity or fall back to the ways of The Code?"
But our favorite part of the teaser has to be reliving the epic season-six finale, when Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) finally discovered her brother's dirty little secret, catching him in the act of killing Travis (Colin Hanks).
Dexter airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
