Good news, Alex fans. Laura Prepon will return to Orange Is the New Black! But bad news time. According to reports, she'll only be back for one episode.
Buzzfeed is reporting that Prepon will return for just one episode of the Netflix series' second season to wrap up her storyline. The rep for the former That '70s Show star would only confirm that she is coming back to Orange Is the New Black, but the number of episodes she'll appear in has not been confirmed yet.
Back in August, it was reported that Prepon will be exiting the series, a story that Netflix told us was "inaccurate" because the season was still developing. It will be interesting to see how Orange handles her alleged exit, since Alex's relationship with Piper (Taylor Schilling) is a major storyline on the series.
When we talked to Schilling about Prepon possibly leaving the show, she insisted she wasn't in the loop regarding her onscreen love's episode status.
"I just know that she's an amazing actress and I've really had an incredible time working with her and I know that there's no end to that relationship," Schilling told us. "Alex is one of the great loves of Piper's life, if not the great love, and I think that anytime you have a bond like that it never really ends. It continues to play out it's like the layers of an onion. I'm curious also to see where the writers take that relationship."
Netflix has not returned our request for comment.
Orange Is the New Black is currently at work filming it's sophomore season.
