Summer's come early! Next year, that is.

At J. Crew's Spring 2014 Collection the theme was all about posh beach style.

"For women it was really about the duality of beach culture," designer Tom Mora told E! News exclusively at the brand's presentation at New York Fashion Week.

He went on to explain he was inspired by a mix of "California coastline, surfers, bold color and graphic prints to contrast that with the Venice Lido lifestyle at the turn of the century. Really proper dressing, crisp linen jacket, ruffles, lace, nautical stripes."

The colorful collection will also include several pairs of heels by Sophia Webster, which also made their debut at the presentation.

To see more of the punchy and preppy presentation, watch Alicia Quarles' full backstage interview with the brand's designers above.
