Kanye West Announces Yeezus Tour Dates, Kendrick Lamar Will Open

The rapper will kick off his tour on Oct. 19 in Seattle

If you have been patiently waiting to find out when and where Kanye West is hitting the road to promote his new album Yeezus, you are in luck.

The 21-time Grammy Award winner announced on Friday, Sept. 6, that he is embarking on a 23-city, 7-week North American tour, which will kick off on Saturday, Oct. 19, in Seattle. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, Sept. 13. 

The rapper's show will combine "state-of-the-art staging, production, and lighting design with his unmatched aesthetic, visionary creative mind, and an increasingly impressive catalogue of hits spanning his decade-long career," according to a press release. It is West's first solo tour in five years.

The opening act will be Kendrick Lamar.

West tweeted "TOUR" on Friday with a link of a promotional photo of him in shadow dangling his arms and leaning backwards. 

To date, West has sold over 21 million albums and over 66 million digital tracks worldwide.

It is not yet known if West's ladylove Kim Kardashian and new daughter North West will join him on the road.
