So that's what Joe Manganiello looks like underneath all that (sexy) facial hair!
The usually bearded True Blood hunk debuted his (obviously still sexy) clean-shaven look on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the 2013 Style Awards in New York City.
Manganiello, 36, not only wore a hot John Varvatos suit, he actually presented John Varvatos with the Menswear Designer of the Year Award. And while this less-rugged look is still incredibly hot, we have a feeling the facial hair will be back full force for the final season of True Blood. He does, after all, play a werewolf!
During an interview with Vulture back in 2010, the actor hinted that his trademark facial hair might have actually helped land him the role of Alcide. "Yeah. I mean, I read the books, and this is how the character was described in the books. When I showed up I wanted to be as close to that mark as possible, and then you kind of put your own stink on it, and make him look the way you think he should look," he explained. "And there's kind of a reclusive, construction-working, woodsy, kind of, you know, secretive guy, so I figured a beard would work."
The beard works, no beard works, and five o'clock stubble is going to be amazing, too. Basically, Mr. Manganiello can shave or not shave—he still looks delicious!
