Not one week ago we were trying to decide if it worked on Selena Gomez! Looks like we have another chance to give this cocktail frock a yay or a nay.
But once again, we're torn. Something about the rich, silk fabric is gorgeous on both the Getaway star and future Mrs. John Legend, and we really love the way it wraps around to a synch at the waist. But we're still getting hung up on the issue of those mix-and-match fabrics...
Something about the three patterns on Selena's selection still feels like too much—especially on such a slight figure. Chrissy's version only includes the cream and black floral and a yellow and black insert, keeping it much simpler.
Then again, Chrissy is breaking a cardinal rule of the runway just four days after it took effect: no white shoes after Labor Day! We'd like to call this one a draw, but we do prefer Chrissy's second version of the Vera—shoes aside.
