Thousands of candid photographs of Great Britain's royal family are being auctioned off this fall for charity by a photographer who made a career out of chronicling as much as he could of each members' lives.

As Today reported, the images being put on the block by shutterbug Ray Bellisario include shockingly private moments—from photos of Queen Elizabeth II doing the twist to a young Prince Charles water-skiing—as well as scores of pictures of various royals engaged in rather "ordinary" activities, like wheeling a baby cart around and some of them as youngsters playing on the Buckingham Palace grounds.

Though not everyone can be an accomplished equestrian like Prince Anne, even if the 77-year-old photog did capture her falling off her mount.

Bellisaro has more than 23,000 photographs of the royals dating back 60 years to 1953, the year after the queen ascended to the throne.

The amazing collection is expected to fetch anywhere from $750,000 to $1.5 million, and the money raised from the auction will benefit Reach for Rights, an organization the photographer set up to help the disabled and victims of domestic violence.
