Cameron Diaz is a California girl, but she makes herself right at home on the East Coast, too.
The 41-year-old actress's 2,400-square-foot New York City apartment is featured in Elle Decor's October issue, and it's every bit as cool and chic as Cameron herself.
Even the small things within the West Village lair are luxurious—from drawers lined in raw black silk to closet interiors covered in custom wallpaper or vivid paint. Cameron says living in the Kelly Wearstler-designed apartment is "a bit like living in a silk-lined jewelry box."
Kelly, who worked closely with the Other Woman star on the apartment, says Cameron "has excellent taste and understands how colors work together, and why quality pieces make rooms special."
"The [color] palette reflects Cameron herself," she adds. "It's innately sexy without being overly flashy."
"I blame my love of sparkly, shiny things on my Cuban roots," Cameron explains.
"She was so involved in every step, every choice, that I, delighted by how well the place represents her," the designer adds.
As for the end result? Cameron seems quite pleased with how everything turned out, saying, "I'm surrounded by things that mean something to me. That's what a home is."
