The actress, whose boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away in July, is seeking solace with former costar and good friend Jonathan Groff.
Lea was spotted leaving her West Hollywood house on Saturday morning with Jonathan, an eyewitness tells E! News. "They were driving in his Hyundai and...drove up through Malibu to Santa Barbara," the source adds.
"It was a very scenic coastal route and they seemed to be really enjoying the views of the ocean."
The duo stopped for gas and soda and then continued their road trip to Big Sur.
Lea wore a red dress, denim jacket and a wishbone necklace.
The trip comes just after Lea celebrated her 27th birthday.
