It was a welcome homecoming Saturday for troubled NBA star Lamar Odom, who was seen arriving in a cab at the Calabasas, Calif., home he shares with wife Khloe Kardashian Odom.

It was the first citing of Lamar since his arrest for suspicion of DUI early Friday and Khloé soon joined her man.

A source tells E! News "Lamar arrived first in a taxi and then Khloé arrived an hour later. She was driving herself, alone in the car. They both wore matching oversized black hoodies."

"Lamar was lying down flat in the back of the taxi to avoid photographers," the source says. "He looked tired and had red eyes."

Khloé's support is no surprise. Just hours after Lamar's arrest, the E! star was staying upbeat, tweeting "Smile and no one will notice." And the entire Kardashian family has reportedly been urging the former Lakers and Clippers star to seek treatment for a reputed substance problem.

Lamar was arrested for the misdemeanor driving count in the San Fernando Valley after a California Highway Patrol officer saw him "driving in a serpentine manner" on the 101 freeway, according to Public Information Officer Leland Tang.

Lamar was taken into custody on $15,000 bail and booked at the local jail at 3:54 a.m. Friday.

"Khloé has been trying so, so hard to keep him from hitting a bottom like this," a source told E! News exclusively. "But if this is what needed to happen, then this is what needed to happen."

The E! star has been focused on "getting Lamar better," the source explained, but is hoping Friday's arrest "will be his wake-up call."
