Many a bride obsesses over her wedding dress, but Kate Bosworth didn't think she was the type to go gaga over her gown—until her engagement to Michael Polish, that is.
In the most recent edition of Net-a-Porter's digital magazine The Edit, the blond beauty opens up about giving in to her inner girly girl and going after a really wedding-worthy frock.
But that doesn't mean she didn't have reservations about bypassing a practical dress for a decadent one.
"There was no doubt about the designer, [but] there was a feeling of, ‘Do I dance around the bridal thing and wear a dress I could wear for the red carpet?'" mused the actress, who is rumored to be walking down the aisles in an Oscar de la Renta confection.
"But lately I'm all about coming out of my comfort zone and challenging myself, so I decided to embrace the moment," she went on to say "It has been a real discovery of that part of myself. I have never thought about it—the dress, the ring, any of it."
Indeed, Bosworth, who created a boho chic festival collection for Topshop this past March, is a master of looking pulled together both on and off the red carpet without looking like she's trying too hard.
"I don't like too many tricks or gimmicks," the bride-to-be admitted. "It's important for me to feel comfortable. It's as simple as that."
Here's hoping the 30-year-old is cozy in her couture on her big day, because we have no doubt she'll look absolutely gorgeous!
And with news swirling that the couple will wed this month in Montana, it looks like we won't have to wait too long before we can catch a glimpse of Bosworth as a bride!
