To dress any celebrity, let alone a major style star like Rihanna, is a huge accolade for most costume designers; but in the case of Adam Selman, he has his even bigger aspirations in the fashion world.

As the singer's go-to fashion guru, Selman has enjoyed plenty of exposure for his creative designs including a bejeweled cage bikini for the Crop Over festival in Barbados, her alluring white gown at last year's MTV Video Music Awards and just about every racy ensemble seen on stage during her 777 Tour.

Selman also serves as head designer for her street chic River Island collection, which coincidentally inspired him to venture out and create a line all his own, which will officially debut on September 5 at the Algus Greenspon Gallery in New York, according to WWD.

The trade publication reports that Selman's spring line includes a strong swimwear influence, along with soft lingerie including satin robes and sexy slip dresses mixed in with boxy tops and athletic references like sweatshirts and jerseys cut for a woman.

Looks like RiRi totally rubbed off on him!

Pricing for the collection is yet to be determined, but he hopes to make it accessible at around $400 retail for a dress, with distribution at select stores including the likes of Opening Ceremony, Net-a-Porter and Barneys New York.

Selman has also worked on Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour and Michael Jackson's This Is It tour in the past.
