On Thursday, Aug 29, the One Direction boy-bander celebrated his 20th birthday. This date alone would've been an international holiday in the 1D world, already, but it's extra special because it's the same day This Is Us opens in the U.K.
"Good morning everyone :)," Liam tweeted, "can't quite believe my life there's no bigger birthday present than what you've done for me in 3 years thank you xx"
Harry Styles made sure to wish his bandmate a happy birthday, tweeting, "@Real_Liam_Payne is now 20 years old. Which means he is suddenly wiser and more manly than he was before. Happy birthday man. .xx."
Niall Horan wished him well, too, writing, "Happy birthday to my brother @Real_Liam_Payne ! No longer a teenager buddie! love you dude !"
As of Thursday afternoon, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson had yet to tweet anything since the day before, but surely wished Liam well IRL as they continue their This Is Us press tour. (Still, though, time to step up your social media game, boys!)
And Liam, adorably, isn't asking for birthday gifts for himself. Instead, he's shining a spotlight on Trekstock, a nonprofit devoted towards funding cancer research.
"If anyone was planning on buying me anything this is the 1st place u should go http://trekstock.com/donate-now ," he tweeted. "you could make difference to somebody"
