Miley Cyrus Boards a Plane in Pajamas, Leaves VMA Look Behind—See the Pic!

Looks like Miley Cyrus is taking her signature "white trash and Chanel" style to the next level.

The "We Can't Stop" singer, who decided to ditch her now-infamous flesh-colored bra and panties for a recent trip to an airport in Teterboro, N.J, was photographed exiting her car in a pair of pajamas which she opted to pair with unicorn slippers and a Chanel handbag, natch.

Cyrus was all smiles as she arrived at the airport, chatting on her cellphone while ignoring the prying paps eager for a pic of the controversial performer, who continues to make headlines for her eyebrow-raising appearance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

The former Hannah Montana star shocked the world Sunday at Brooklyn's Barclays Center in a performance which saw the erstwhile Disney star twerking like there's no tomorrow, unleashing some serious tongue action, stripping down to vinyl undies and grinding up against 36-year-old Robin Thicke onstage.

A number of stars have since sounded off on M.C.'s scandalous booty-shakin' show, including Sherri Shepherd, who said Miley is going to "hell in a twerking handbasket," as well as Thicke's mother Gloria Loring, who admitted she "doesn't understand" what 20-year-old Miley is trying to do with her raunchy routine.

Brooke Shields, who made a number of appearances on Hannah Montana as Miley's mom, also shared her thoughts on the performance, which she called "a bit desperate."

"I just want to know who's advising her, and why it's necessary," Shields says of Cyrus' VMA display. "I mean the whole finger thing and the hand and Robin [Thicke] probably at that point was going, ‘I don't think this is a good idea.'"

Despite the backlash, Miles may still have the last laugh—her half-naked antics brought a huge ratings boost to MTV (thanks to the 'N Sync reunion as well) and, according to the pop star, her performance was tweeted about "more times than the blackout or the Super Bowl."

"Listen if it wasn't ur cup of tea—all good but why is everyone spazzing?" Adam Lambert tweeted in defense of the former Disney darling. "Hey—she's doin something right. We all talking."

Indeed we are (three days later).
