Whoa! Has Blue Ivy Carter been immortalized on Drake's new album cover?

Such speculation began running rampant last week when the rapper unveiled the artwork for Nothing Was the Same, with one of the images being that of a child conjuring up thoughts of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's little one.

But now Drake has set the record straight, saying it's merely a younger version of himself.

"When it's positioned on the shelf, whatever store you go to, if they do it as I've asked, you'll see the fact that it's a child version of myself staring at myself now," the 26-year-old Grammy winner told MTV. "Sometimes when I try and think back on this journey, it's so hard to pinpoint all of these moments and it gets foggy."

Drake added, "What that album art is to me is that this is my most clear, concise thoughts from now, and my best recollection of then. That's really what that cover's about."

Nothing Was the Same will be released on Sept. 24.
