Zayn Malik and his fiancée sure are excited to say "I Do"!

The One Direction boybander took to Twitter this afternoon to express his enthusiasm over his engagement to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.

"Never been more happy in my life!," the 1D stud wrote. "Thank you to everyone that has been so lovely about my engagement to my beautiful fiancé ! Big love z X"

Perrie also shared her excitement today, gushing over her future hubby on the social media site.

"I've also never felt so happy! :)," she posted on the official Little Mix Twitter page. "Thank you everyone for being so kind and supportive! Im a lucky girl! xD I Love you all! Perrie."

The blond beauty debuted her impressive three-stone diamond engagement ring at the premiere for 1D's new flick This Is Us.

The twosome rocked the red carpet as a newly engaged couple, looking stunning side by side in their monochromatic fashions.

Perrie also showed off her blinged-out bauble in a twitpic collage posted by her BFF Katherine Spires.

"So it's official, Perrie & Zayn are engaged! Couldn't be happier! Love You Both! :')," Spires captioned the photo of the pair making funny faces while flaunting Edward's engagement ring.

Perrie's mum, Debbie Duffy, confirmed the exciting news to Real Radio North East's Gary & Lisa Show on Wednesday, saying, "It's true. They got engaged on Sunday [Aug. 18] and it was absolutely lovely."

"He did the traditional asking me and then asking his mum and dad and everything," she added. "It was fabulous—just lovely."

The young lovebirds—who are both 20 years old—briefly dated back in 2011, but they didn't become an official couple until April 2012.

And while the duo's clearly excited to say  their I-Do, the pair is taking it slow and plans to have a long engagement due to their intense career schedules.

"I mean, obviously they've got so much to do," Perrie's mom said. "They'll wait till 2014, 2015...One Direction are doing so much and Little Mix are the same. They're out of the country most the time doing their promotion for this, that and the other, so it's just unbelievable. But I think they will eventually get together and set the date."

Can't wait!
