Welcome to the revolution, Natalie Dormer.

The Game of Thrones beauty has joined the cast of Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, the pair of films planned based on the final book of Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games trilogy.

Dormer, 31, will play Cressida, the resident director from the Capitol who joins the Districts' revolt and turns it into must-see post-apocalyptic TV, starring Katniss Everdeen as the reluctant but increasingly motivated face of the rebellion.

The British actress is really making the rounds, century-wise. In addition to playing a 21st-century Irene Adler in CBS' updated Sherlock Holmes drama Elementary, Dormer is currently best known for going medieval as Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones and as Anne Boleyn in The Tudors.

She is the first thesp to officially join Mockingay who isn't a hold-over from either The Hunger Games or the upcoming Catching Fire, which finally hits theaters Nov. 22. Most recently, Julianne Moore was in talks to play ruthless rebellion leader and District 13 president Alma Coin.

Mockingjay Part 1 comes out Nov. 21, 2014, and the Districts have their final say Nov. 20, 2015, when Part 2 caps off the action.

Meanwhile, Katniss herself, Jennifer Lawrence, was spotted this week doing a little research for what's to come—she was reading Mockingjay while spending time with on-again beau Nicholas Hoult in Montreal's La Fontaine Park earlier this week.
