Looks like Miley Cyrus is showing off her signature style.

The pop star was photographed out and about in Brooklyn, New York today, where she was seen arriving for rehearsals for MTV's 2013 Video Music Awards.

Not letting the rain get in the way of her revealing outfit, the 20-year-old performer rocked short shorts, her signature Doc Martens shoes, and a white tank leotard which read, "Ain't Nothing But a G Thang."

She wore her short hair in two high buns and accessorized her look with endless gold jewelry as she arrived with her mother, Tish, to practice her upcoming performance.

The "We Can't Stop" singer—who is nominated for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and Best Editing for her hit single—is set to hit the stage at Brooklyn's Barclays Center Sunday and is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated performers of the night.

Earlier this month, she released a sexy promo for her sure-to-be eyebrow-raising performance, which featured the former Hannah Montana star strutting her stuff in a New York subway in a pair of hot pants and a crop top while the Beastie Boys' hit song "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" blasts in the background.

The onetime Disney darling also recently announced her forthcoming album will be called Bangerz after she hit the 13 million followers mark on her favorite social media site.

"If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ" she wrote.

In addition to the buzz for upcoming album and VMA performance, Liam Hemsworth's other half has also been making headlines for her hair.

Despite telling E! News "you will never see me with long hair again!" back in February, the singer told pal and Fashion Police cohost Kelly Osbourne she's trying to grow out her famous pixie.

"I'm secretly tugging on it every night and taking Viviscal," she admitted. "I'm not going to lie. But I'm going to rock it while I have it!"

She added: "I love a good weave. I can't help it, I love a good piece."

But while her short hair may soon be long gone, the pop singer says her edgy style is here to stay.

"You can just mix white trash and Chanel, that's me," she told MTV News. "That's my ultimate look. Pretty much everything is weird bondage stores except obviously my jewelry—gotta keep it classy with Chanel. I wear a lot of jewelry during the day, so I pretty much just come with my own jewelry, and give me some underwear to wear with it, and I call it a day."

Who knows what she'll say next, but one thing's for sure: her VMA performance is bound to be entertaining.

Can't wait!
