She may play Hit-Girl in this summer's Kick-Ass 2. But at home, Chloë Grace Moretz is just a normal student being homeschooled.

"It works," the actress told Chelsea Handler while promoting her new summer movie on Chelsea Lately. "It's not bad at all."

With mom serving as her teacher, Moretz says they are both very accommodating to each other's schedules.

"She understands that I like to sleep in because I get all these hours when I'm working," the 16-year-old said. "I get like 6 a.m. starts, so we start school around 9:30. We work will 6 p.m. but it's worth it."

When not studying up for class or catching up on homework, the actress tries her best to care for her three dogs, including her big Irish O'Doodle, a mix of an Irish Settler and a poodle.

"He's a rock star," Moretz proclaimed. "He has a Mohawk. He's like so hot. He's an attractive dog."
